As far as Army chow halls go, this is one of the best. The food is not wonderful but the portion sizes are large. The salad bar options are extensive. The soldiers who run Blackhorse are professional.

I'm RTU here for LTP. The breakfast staff was courteous. The biscuits were the softest biscuits I've ever had in a DFAC in 18 years. The Jalapeños were fresh. The overall area was impeccably clean! Thank you DFAC Manager and Staff!

These DFAC workers do not get enough credit! An Army truly marches on its belly and those gifted people kept us marching daily! I am thankful to every person that contributed to their collective efforts and enjoyed the quality of food presented. Holidays? Long lines and amazing food! Keep up the hard work. Soldiers love the food. Got to plug my brothers here, Infantry is the life!

It was a good place, and definitely worth the price to eat in it. The options change often, but hamburgers are served everyday but they can run out. There are helicopters and tanks by it which is awesome
